The Handshake Foundation (THF) in partnership with film Director, Susie Singer Carter (Soul Surfer, Bratz), founder of Go Girl Media invited three interns on their movie set of their original short film, My Mom and the Girl.
Based on a true story, the film gives an unexpected and joyous snapshot look at Alzheimer’s, diversity and caregiving through music, humor and love. The late actress and five time Emmy winner Valerie Harper starred supported by actress Liz Torres and Harmony Santana.
The three selected students had a chance to see what it really takes to produce a movie.
